| Hey guys! This comm has been pretty inactive lately, so I figure it's alright if I start a discussion here to get things moving.
I'm working on an FST for this pairing, but I'm running into a few walls picking out the songs assembling it will be a whole other matter. I think that's mostly because, with the lack of canon for this pairing, the way it's defined depends entirely on each fan's opinions and interpretation of history, if the latter applies.
See, the songs that I'm picking out sort of follow with this story: Egypt falls for Turkey first, back in the days of the Ottoman Empire. And at this time they are lovers, but Turkey's got his own harem of nations several other lovers and doesn't really show real affection for any of them over the others. And then Egypt leaves, when England takes him as a protectorate near the end of the Ottoman Empire, still full of longing and some resentment towards the other. Who, as time passes, comes to the painfully slow realization that he liked Egypt too, and now that they aren't together he relives his memories in misery because of the opportunities they lost. Then World War II ends, the 21st century gets closer and closer, and these two rebuild their relationship very tenderly, trying to avoid the awkward confession until they can't avoid it any longer.
But I realize that is just one possible interpretation of this relationship, so I got curious: how do you guys see this pairing going down, canon-verse or otherwise? What do you think of my theory, how does it hold up to yours, so on and such forth?
Please respect the opinions of others, guys, even if you don't agree.

Notes: Fic is dedicated to disownmereturns and inuyashacooks explanation at the end because I'm lovingly asking forcing you both to read thisx-posted @ animusia, giripan, aphmediterraneo, myths_n_legends And yet, it’s evident to anyone who enters the shop that it’s absolutely nothing like anything else on Ditmars Boulevard.
